"Spider-Man 4" redan planerad

Nu börjar arbetet med den fjärde "Spider-Man"-filmen - trots att "Spider-Man 3" inte har världspremiär förrän den 4 maj.

Cheferna på filmbolaget Columbia Pictures var uppenbarligen nöjda när de såg trean för första gången. Direkt efter visningen började man förhandla med manusförfattaren David Koepp om att skriva manus till fyran, skriver Variety.

Koepp har just avslutat manuset till den kommande Indiana Jones-filmen. Det var han som låg bakom historien till den första Spider-Man-filmen, men tvåan och trean skrevs av Alvin Sargent.

Columbia Pictures must have really enjoyed their recent 'first look' of Spider-Man 3, because shortly after the studio execs opened up negotiations with script David Koepp to pen the script for the fourth installment.

David Koepp is one popular guy. Having recently been given credit for getting the fourth installment of Indiana Jones off the ground, the writer is now being sought out to keep the Spider-Man franchise alive. Though none of the major cast is signed on for another installment, a good script could change all that. Well, that and a pay boost.

Koepp will be stepping into the franchise, whose writing credits belong to Alvin Sargent for the second and third installments.


The addition of David Koepp is just one of the first steps to get Spider-Man 4 off the ground. Next comes the increased price tag to get Maguire, Dunst, Franco and Raimi to return.

Spider-Man 3 opens to theatres on May 4th, 2007.

EXCL: David Koepp in Talks for Spider-Man 4! - ComingSoon.net

ComingSoon.net's Superhero Hype! has learned exclusively from a very reliable source that Spider-Man screenwriter David Koepp is in talks with Sony Pictures to write Spider-Man 4!

Our source tells us that the studio is really excited about Spider-Man 3 after having seen a first cut of the movie. Add to that the phenomenal reaction to the screenings of footage at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas a couple of weeks ago and the momentum leading up to this point from last summer's Comic-Con, which have sparked the studio to approach Koepp about penning the fourth film's screenplay.

Koepp is not signed yet, but the studio is definitely moving forward with another installment.

Keopp recently finished the script for Indiana Jones 4 which received the green light from George Lucas, Steven Spielberg and Harrison Ford. Besides the first Spider-Man movie, he has written such blockbusters as War of the Worlds, Jurassic Park, Panic Room, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, Mission: Impossible and Carlito's Way.

The first two "Spider-Man" films earned $1.6 billion dollars total worldwide. Spider-Man 3 kicks-off the summer on May 4.

OK, för jag läste det i en intervju nyligen där de pratade om Spider-Man 3, Spider-Man 4 och The Hobbit. Jaja, det kvittar.

Få se nu, i första filmen tog Peter Parker examen (2002) och i den andra gick han på universitet (2004). Kommer han fortfarande studera i trean? Undrar bara ifall man kanske kommer få se honom som lärare i nån av uppföljarna? Fast tanken på Tobey Maguire i ett klassrum fullt av tonåringar får mig förstås att fnissa till lite.

EXCL: Producer Grant Curtis on Spider-Man 3!

Superhero Hype! recently caught up with Spider-Man 3 producer Grant Curtis to get an update on the highly-anticipated third film. With the footage shown at the Consumer Electronics Association (CES) in Las Vegas last week and the newly-launched official website now live, the hype for the movie is really kicking off while the production is working on completing the project.

Curtis told us that director Sam Raimi and team are spending several hours a day creating the special effects currently and that there are literally hundreds of people around the world working on the film.

One of the questions he gets asked most often, as do we, is whether or not there are four villains in the movie. Curtis said that is not really the case, as the movie involves mostly Sandman, New Goblin and Venom. The black suit is often referred to as a fourth villain, but it's more Spidey's struggle within himself, which is, of course, a very big part of the story as well.

If you were concerned three villains is also too many, Curtis said that they don't just throw a villain into a Spidey movie. He says every villain in the movie has a connection to Peter Parker's story, which remains the center of the franchise. From Harry's growing tension with Peter over the death of Harry's father, to Sandman being the real killer of Uncle Ben, and Venom's connection to Peter (you'll have to see the movie to find out what that is!), everything is told through Parker's story.

We couldn't resist asking if we can expect Spider-Man 4, and Curtis gave us a very honest answer. He says that all the people involved with Spider-Man 3 are working really hard towards the May 4 release date and haven't had a chance to think about a fourth film. In fact, on each of the Spidey movies, they have really put all of their effort into the project at hand and haven't thought beyond that. We would say that's a pretty big contributing factor to why the movies are so great!

SCI FI Wire | Maguire Open To Spidey 4

Tobey Maguire, who reprises the role of Peter Parker in the upcoming Spider-Man 3, told SCI FI Wire in February that he remained open to a fourth film, with reservations. This despite earlier reports that the third webslinger movie would be his last. Maguire is not contractually bound to do a fourth film.

"Well, it's possible that we make another movie," Maguire said in an interview. "It all depends on if there's a story worth telling. I feel very proud of the three movies that we've made. I feel like the stories all deserve to be told, and, you know, if they come up with a good movie, and the whole team wants to get back together, and we feel like we can make a good movie that's worth making, then I'm up for it."

His co-star, Kirsten Dunst (Mary Jane Watson), echoed the sentiment in a separate interview in February. And for her, it depended on whether or not writer/director Sam Raimi agreed to a fourth installment. "There's an openness at the end [of Spider-Man 3], which I like, but ... I feel like this is a trilogy unto itself," she said. "And I think if we venture into a fourth, it will be some time from now and in a new way. Because I don't think Sam can do that: continuing on this same course. I think he needs to venture as an artist and do other things; otherwise, none of us will have anything good to bring to the fourth. So I think we all need to venture out a little bit, and then maybe we'll come back together one day and do another one."

She added: "I would work with Sam on any movie he wanted to work on it with me, because I just adore that man."

For his part, Raimi hasn't said one way or another whether he'd do another movie. Producer Avi Arad has been quoted as saying he'd move ahead with a fourth Spider-Man with or without Maguire. Spider-Man 3 opens May 4.

Dunst on Spider-Man 4 from ShoWest - ComingSoon.net

At this year's ShoWest in Las Vegas, Kirsten Dunst showed up to accept the ShoWest Female Star of the Year, and at the press conference that preceded the awards ceremony, the question on many minds was whether she would be willing to make another movie in the "Spider-Man" franchise.

"Well, I think Sam has dedicated so much of his life, like more than ten years, to the 'Spider-Man' franchise with so much passion and love, the man is burnt out at this time," she told reporters. "I think he needs a long vacation to put his creativity towards something else and then maybe we'll revisit it. I told Sam that we should do a 'Spider-Man 4' that's completely low budget--'Evil Dead' style--where Mary Jane has eight children with very little special effects and then we'll get a whole new audience, we'd make a lot of money because it wouldn't cost as much and everyone would go see it."

When asked about the rumors that Sony is moving forward with a fourth movie with or without Raimi, Dunst was surprised that someone would even suggest it. "Do they want to give Sam Raimi a heart attack? That's evil. Sorry, that's not happening any time soon. I would just say no for Sam's sake so that he can have a break. We would all do it together because Sam, Tobey and I are a team now, but there's no way it's going to happen very soon. I just can't imagine that. We don't have the story to tell right now."

"I really have evolved as an actress and as a person from 1 to 3, so for me, the role has grown with me," Dunst said when asked about what she felt she has brought to the role of Mary Jane. "She's always a woman searching and she's always been someone that at that time of my life I could relate to. In this film, because we're older and the relationships are deeper than we've seen in the last two, it's only made all of our roles so much more meaningful to all of us. We never rest on our laurels with these films, we always try to make it better, and I think it'll really show in this third one."

"Where is this being fed to?" Dunst asked inquisitively. "The internet? Great." (And cause you can't tell tone of voice from reading this, let's just say that she seemed less than thrilled by that last bit.)

Sam Raimi Confirms Spidey 4, 5 and 6! - ComingSoon.net

At the Los Angeles press junket today, Spider-Man 3 director Sam Raimi confirmed that Sony Pictures is doing a 4th, 5th and 6th installment of the popular franchise.

We'll have his exact words shortly, but Raimi said that he hasn't had time to think of any involvement and he doesn't want to presume Sony would want him to direct.

He said there has to be a good story to tell and that "it'd be very hard to say goodbye to 'Spider Man.'"

Spider-Man 3 opens in conventional theaters and IMAX on May 4.

Som jag har sagt helatiden (Även om ingen velat lyssna). Sony skaffade sig rättigheterna till 6 Spider-Man filmer så varför skulle de INTE göra 6 filmer? När Spider-Man 2 var klar och skulle upp på bio så var det också en massa snack om att det skulle vara den sista filmen.

ja, inget är väl säkert beroende på hur Spider-Man 3 går. Eller vilka som är med på en eventuell 4-6:e film heller. Det kan mycket väl bli nya skådisar och ny regissör, och då vet man inte hur länge det dröjer eller om det ens blir bra. Det kan mycket väl bli symbiottrams av det hela.

Det kommer gå skitbra för Spider-Man 3, hur dålig den än är.
Spider-Man 2 är den mäst inkomstbringande filmen i historien och har den mäst sålda DVDn, det säger inte lite det.

Ja, jag om någon hoppas på att det går bra för Spider-Man 3. Men ska det bli fler ska det vara med Sam Raimi, Tobey Maguire och gärna fler klassiska skurkar. Annars kan det lika väl vänta några år. Så de inte skyndar fram uppföljare. Så huruvida att Sony vill göra tre filmer till är en bra nyhet eller inte beror på vilka som gör de filmerna. Vore det t. ex Brett Ratner eller Michael Bay vore det inte bra. Fler Raimi-filmer vore toppen.

Sam Raimi vore bäst. Annars någon som är lika passionerad för Spider-Man. Tobey Maguire beror på hur Spiderman 3 slutar. Blir Spiderman 4 en ny början på en ny triologi så är Tobey Maguire inte lika viktig men han är att föredra. Fast Tobey Maguire verkar possitiv för en Spiderman 4 och rollen har gjort honom legendarisk. Hans paradroll som han dessutom verkar verkligen älska att spela. Jag tror inte han vill hänga upp trekåerna än på ett tag.
Problemet är ju att man inte vet VAD man ska lita på för det har rapoterats det ena efter det andra om hur de vill sluta sedan före Spiderman 2. Dunst är en som alla var säkra på villat hoppa av länge nu tills hon började prata om att vilja vara med i Spiderman 4. (Men hennes lågbudget ideer med en Evil Dead-aktig Spiderman film suger)

Inte bara passionerad. Mark Steven Johnson var passionerad om Daredevil och Ghost Rider. Det måste vara en bra regissör också. Sen förstår jag inte vad du menar om att det skulle vara en ny skådis om det blir en ny "trilogi". Blir det en fjärde och fler filmer om Spider-Man är det ju nummer 4-6 i serien, inte någon nystart.

Än så länge kan man inte ta fasta på något alls. Förutom att Sony vill göra fler filmer kanske. Fast ingen av filmskaparna lär ha tänkt på annat än trean, den har ju inte ens kommit ut än. Därför...inga rykten ska tas på allvar, vad än Kirsten Dunst på skämt säger. Kom ihåg det. På skämt.

När jag snackar om ny trilogi så menar jag att Spiderman 3 avslutar alla oavslutade storylines från de första 2 filmerna och att Spiderman 4 påbörjar ett nytt storyarc för 4-6 filmerna. Ingen nystart.

Nu tycker jag ju att Daredevil var bra (Utom att filmen var för kort och slutstriden kom för snabbt) och Ghost Rider har jag inte sett än. Men jag fattar vad du menar. Givetvis så gäller det att personen är duktig med.
