Was?? Varför har du inte sett den? Näst bästa Marvel-filmen, IMHO.
Hur som helst ska jag gå och se den i helgen är det tänkt.

Captain America, Thor Details Leaked
/.../
Feige also talked about the upcoming Thor movie, confirming that it will take place mostly in Asgard, the mythical Norse realm of the gods, and not in the contemporary real world. "The film is not all Asgard, but it will be a big chunk in Asgard, yeah," Feige said.
Feige promised an announcement about a director for Thor "later this summer." Mark Protosevich (The Cell) is drafting a script, which should be submitted in a couple of weeks, he added.

/Film - DJ Caruso Would Like to Direct Thor
Tuesday, September 9th, 2008
With Matthew Vaughn off directing Kick-Ass and his once-proposed $300 million Thor epic but a memory, DJ Caruso (Disturbia, Eagle Eye) is now expressing interest in bringing Marvel’s Son of Odin to the big screen. In an interview with IESB he said:“I would definitely tackle it and I sort of wrestled with it before and I was always a fan of Thor growing up as a kid. I know that they [Marvel] have a script, but there’s something, there’s a fear I have about Thor and depending on what Thor story you want to tell, whether you want to bring Thor into the modern world or if you want to go back to Asgard”
He added that he’s even had talks with Marvel about the film, but it all comes down to the screenplay. Last year, screenwriter Mark Protosevich (I Am Legend, longtime Thor fan/collector) described his script to the Daily Herald as:“It’s going to be like a super hero origin story, but not one about a human gaining super powers, but of a god realizing his true potential. It’s the story of a Old Testament god who becomes a new Testament god. I think it’s going to surprise a lot of people.”
And Vaughn was attracted to the project due to its pricey vision of Norse mythology, saying, “It’s very much a Marvel superhero story but against the backdrop of something you’ve never seen before.” All of which lends credence to a storyline focusing on Asgard and Thor’s villainous brother, Loki.

Branagh May Helm Thor
Henry V helmer Kenneth Branagh surprised onlookers by entering talks to direct Thor, a superhero movie and the next Marvel Comics property to be adapted as a live-action feature by Marvel Studios, Variety reported. The movie will be released in 2010.
Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige's choice of Branagh is surprising, as Branagh hasn't really directed an action-heavy film since his debut on Henry V, based on the Shakespeare play.
Marvel will set a distributor for Thor shortly.
The Thor comic-book adaptation, penned by Mark Protosevich (The Cell), follows disabled medical student Donald Blake, who has an alter ego as the hammer-wielding Norse god Thor.

Men Branagh har ju gjort bra filmer, så kanske att det kan bli nåt ändå?
Nå, vi får väl se om han kommer överens med Marvel.

Splash Page » Kenneth Branagh: Director of ‘Thor’?
Now here’s a plot twist that would make the ol’ playwright proud. According to Variety, Shakespearian theatre and film veteran Kenneth Branagh is in talks to direct Marvel Studios’ “Thor” feature film.
There’s no certainty that Branagh will get the nod to direct “Thor,” as the article states that the “Much Ado About Nothing” and “Hamlet” director is simply in the negotiation phase, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t room to speculate about what a Branagh-directed “Thor” might involve. If the pairing does become official, it would put one of the primary ambassadors of Shakespeare’s work to mainstream culture behind the camera for the live-action debut of Marvel’s favorite Norse superhero — a character who, like many of Branagh’s roles, doesn’t shy away from using “thee” and “thou” in conversation.
“Thor” is currently scheduled for release on June 4, 2010, and as one of the founding members of the Marvel Comics superteam “The Avengers,” the character could be making another appearance (alongside Iron Man, Hulk and Captain America, among other characters) in Marvel Studios’ live-action “Avengers” feature film scheduled for release July 4, 2011. The script for the film was written by Mark Protosevich.
It’s also worth noting that “Iron Man” director Jon Favreau has stated that Thor — with his magic-based powers — is the one character from the Avengers roster who might not fit in the world established by “Iron Man” and its upcoming sequels.
Splash Page » J. Michael Straczynski Says Kenneth Branagh Perfect For ‘Thor’ Film
With the internet absolutely a’blaze over the recent announcement that Kenneth Branagh could possibly be the director on Marvel’s upcoming “Thor” film, Splash Page decided to get current “Thor” comics writer J. Michael Straczynski’s take on the news.
“Honestly, I can’t imagine anyone better suited to this,” said Straczynski, who is more widely known as the creator of “Babylon 5” and more recently, the screenwriter of the upcoming Clint Eastwood-directed Oscar contender “Changeling.” “‘Thor,’ at his best, has always had a classical bent to the character in terms of his history, the way he speaks, and the often Shakespearean intrigues and dramas that surround him. That kind of dialogue and character needs the hand of someone who comes from a theatrical/classically trained background in order for it not to sound forced or artificial. Branagh is absolutely the perfect choice.”
While no official word has been released, Branagh is reportedly in negotiations to direct the 2010 film, with a screenplay written by Mark Protosevich. Not known as a traditional “action film” director, the closest Branagh has come to the genre was his directorial debut, “Henry V,” which told the brutal tale of the King’s conquest of France. That being said, given the character’s more classical roots — especially in terms of dialogue — Branagh on “Thor” makes for a very interesting choice for director at the very least.

IESB.net - Movie News, Reviews, Interviews and More! - Daniel Craig Says NO to THOR
Written by Stephanie Sanchez
Monday, 20 October 2008
James Bond has invaded Beverly Hills today with stars Daniel Craig and Olga Kurylenko and director Mark Forster attending the press day for the 22nd Bond film Quantum of Solace.
IESB's Robert Sanchez talked with both Olga and Daniel, who actually had a bit to say about another widely known hero, THOR, who is currently set up over at MARVEL for a 2010 release with Kenneth Branagh attached to direct.
IESB asked if Craig was interested in doing something a little different character-wise, like Thor?
Craig said no, he turned it down and laughed about it.
Sanchez continued, “seriously, I heard the folks over at Marvel had you on a short list to be Thor.”
Craig said yes they [Marvel] did approach him but he turned it down. He added jokingly, it would have been too much of a power trip, both Bond and Thor, and running around with long hair and a hammer.
Personally I think they would have had to use some major CGI to make Craig look bigger and taller, THOR was by no means a small man, not to say Craig is either, but his stature certainly doesn't fit the bill.
The search for THOR continues!

First Showing - Who Would Be a Good Thor? How About Kevin McKidd?
December 2, 2008
Source: IGN
With a director and writer set for Marvel's big screen Thor movie, the only name still missing is the actor who will play the Norse God of Thunder. Instead of throwing any old name into the hat, there is actually a specific one that we should mention, especially considering he's been talking with Marvel directly about taking on the role. His name is Kevin McKidd (seen above) and he's a Scottish actor who has appeared in Hannibal Rising, The Last Legion, and Made of Honor as well as the TV shows "Rome", "Journeyman", and "Grey's Anatomy".
Yesterday night he confirmed to IGN that he's still in the running for the role.
McKidd said that there has been "a lot of back and forth" about the project, but nothing has been determined yet. IGN says that McKidd emphasized that he's in the running for the role of Thor and not a supporting role, which apparently contradicts what he told them last year when he suggested that Thor might be played by a younger actor. Unfortunately that's all he revealed to them, which means that Marvel literally hasn't chosen who will play Thor or just hasn't told McKidd that he didn't get the role.

Marvel and Paramount are pressing ahead with plans to turn comic book Thor into a movie.
According to Coming Attractions, a casting notice has been released by producers asking for an actor in his 20s to portray the eponymous god of thunder, described as "physically powerful, very handsome, occasionally egotistical, petulant and wild".

Could Alexander Skarsgard Be Marvel’s Thor?
First of all, the following story is speculative and circumstantial at best, and as such, should not be considered more than a rumor at this point… but we’ll bite. LatinoReview had discounted a rumor previously floating around that actor Alexander Skarsgard was in line for the role of Marvel’s Thor, but today they received a tip that Thor director Kenneth Branagh was spotted having lunch with Skarsgård and a couple unrecognizable gentleman. Could this confirm that the True Blood star is in line for the role?
Stellan Skarsgård’s son sure fits the previously released casting description, and definitely looks the part:
"Male MUST BE MID-LATE 20′S and SIX FEET OR TALLER. LEAD. Physically powerful, very handsome, occasionally egotistical, petulant, and wild. A natural warrior with a quick charming wit who must be genuinely and severely humbled before becoming the compassionate, mature hero of our film. (via: Corona)"
Also, Skarsgård and Branagh have the same agency representation (Endeavor Agency). But bottom line is, it could just be one big coinicidence.
"It's more the way it is now than it's ever been" - Dwight David Eisenhower
"Typisk otur, Krydolf! När det regnar flyglar har den fattige inga noter" - Don Martin
