Jo, fast så är det alltid med serietidningar. Samma med t ex Marvel och DC. Om man så ser någon få huvudet avhugget och blir mald till köttfärs så kan den komma tillbaka igen. Dock känns detfel IMO och förstör hela grejen med att de är mer än bara maskiner.

Since Michael Bay has been keeping everything involving Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen a secret, it's been hard for fans knowing exactly what is up with some of their favorite Decepticons and Autobots.

One of the big questions is, is Megatron returning and if so, what will he look like? If these images are any indication, he appears to be a giant ass armored tank.

He kind of looks like Galvatron a bit from these pictures. I think these are toy packaging images when you look at them. I came to this conclusion because one pic says Megatron in the lower right and also they have that giant Toy logo on them. I'm an awesome detective. If this truly is what Megatron will look like, (you can see his face in a couple of shots) then he's going to be one bad mother f-er in this sequel.

Alright guys, what do you think? Is this the new Megatron? Is he in the sequel and in this form or is this just clever toy packaging? Are they fakes? Early conceptual art? I think it's legit but you guys make up your own mind by commenting below!

/Film - New Transformers 2 Details Revealed at Hasbro Licensing Summit

I thought I’d pass along the news which was revealed at the Hasbro Licensing Summit in Malaysia this week.

The Chevy Corvette Centennial concept car (seen in the photo above) is actually the alt mode for Sideswipe. Described as a brave but often rash warrior, Sideswipe was part of the initial crew of Autobots. In the original animated series, Sideswipe and his twin brother Sunstreaker, took the form of Lamborghini sports cars. He later took the form of a 1997 Lamborghini Diablo, 1999 Dodge Viper, and the Cobra Stinger.

Ravage will appear in the film with “very raw beast mode”. Ravage was featured in both the original animated series and Beast Wars, and took the form of a robotic jaguar. He was featured in an original draft of Bay’s Tranformers, but later replaced with Scorponok.

Megatron’s alt mode is confirmed to be a tank. Looks like the leaked concept photos are legit.

And the Devastator rumors might also be confirmed with the news that a super-sized transformer that combines multiple toys will retail for $50+. In the original series, six constructicons combine to transform into the huge giant robot known as Devastator.

The six IMAX sequences in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight have encouraged other filmmakers to get studios to pony up the production dollars for similar shots, Variety reported.

Michael Bay will film at least three action set pieces in the large-screen format for the upcoming Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, which is currently shooting.

Jon Favreau has similarly discussed using IMAX cameras in Iron Man 2, while Eagle Eye director D.J. Caruso has expressed interest in doing so for future projects such as Y: The Last Man, based on the graphic novel.

Filmmakers have long preferred sequences shot using IMAX cameras because the quality of the 70mm images surpasses those of more traditional 35mm footage.

Following up on last night's brief Variety report, IMAX Corporation has now officially announced that Michael Bay will shoot select scenes of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen with IMAX cameras:

IMAX Corporation, DreamWorks Pictures and Paramount Pictures today announced that director Michael Bay will shoot key sequences of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen with IMAX® cameras. Bay will integrate the IMAX footage with state of the art CGI to create an unprecedented look and feel for the highly anticipated sequel to last year's box office hit, Transformers. As previously announced, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen will be released to IMAX® theatres simultaneously with the movie's wide release on June 26, 2009.

The movie sequences shot in traditional 35mm will be digitally re-mastered into the unparalleled image and sound quality of The IMAX Experience® with IMAX DMR® (Digital Re-mastering) technology. The IMAX DMR scenes will appear in the traditional "letterbox" shape, while scenes shot with IMAX's cameras will expand vertically to fill the entire IMAX screen.

"The extraordinary level of detail and intensity captured by the IMAX camera creates many exciting possibilities for us with this film," said Michael Bay, the film's director. "IMAX's all-encompassing format will take this story to a new level, and I am once again very excited to share The IMAX Experience with Transformers fans around the world."

Får väl hoppas på att Bay håller igen med sina vanliga spasmer så man kan få lite ögongodis denhär gången. (Jag tyckte kameran flög runt alldeles för mycket för att man skulle få se Alla 'bots i sin fulla glans)

Hmm, det väcks ett visst intresse av den lilla snutten, förvisso.

Hofling: Det skulle man kunna säga. The Fallen introducerades i en av Dreamwaves serier för några år sen. Idéen var att han var en av dom första 13 Transformers som skapades, tillsammans med t ex Liege Maximo och Vector Prime.

Dock så ska han ha tytt sig till betydligt mörkare makter än vad hans funktion var tänkt, så han blev fångad i en sorts fick-universum.

Ja, The Fallen brukar anses vara Transformers version av Djävulen. En av de första ursprungliga Transformers som föll till den mörka sidan, så att säga. Där av namnet The Fallen. I serierna så jobbar han för Unicron. Kan man tänka sig att Unicron dyker upp i 3:an?
Ett kontriversiellt beslut att ha med The Fallen eftersom han bara varit med i serietidningarna och inte i några av de tecknade serierna och många anser honom vara lite för mycket för Transformersvärldens mytrologi.

Parallellerna till Satan kan iaf knappast bli mer uppenbara.

Om de bara tonar ner den korkade humorn och de banala sidospåren som sänkte ettan (Shia letar efter en MacGuffin på sitt rum medan hela Autobots-skvadronen försöker gömma sig på bakgården för hans föräldrar och resten av grannskapet, åh ho ho ho... ) och om Bay finslipar sin regi så att man faktiskt kan se vad som händer så blir det nog en hyfsad popcornrulle.
